
Under the Chief Minister’s Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGUY), an initiative focused on doubling farmers’ incomes, substantial progress is being made through innovative programs. A notable scheme under this initiative, “Livelihood and Employment Generation for Progressive Farmers in the Livestock Sector,” is offering financial assistance to farmer groups with promising project ideas. This program has supported around 2,500 beneficiaries thus far, with a total funding of Rs 10 crore.

In a recent development, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed financial aid to 800 farmers in Jalukbari, further boosting efforts to empower the agricultural sector. This move underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing farming livelihoods through modernization and support.
In a message shared on social media platform X, CM Sarma highlighted the government’s emphasis on empowering youth through modern farming techniques. He announced the distribution of farm machinery in Kamrup, aligning with the broader strategy to support farmer communities.
During a program held on December 8, a total of 800 farmers benefitted from the government’s aid, marking a significant step in the ongoing efforts to strengthen the agricultural economy and improve farmers’ living standards.
