On Thursday at 1 PM, the party organization in Diphu becomes agitated again in response to the illegal encroachment on PGR-VGR land. The protestors have adopted a novel protest initiative called ‘Day of Feelings’ to express their sentiments regarding the Karbi community.
The protesters organized a unique demonstration near the Diphu Don Bosco School, wearing ceremonial headgear and neck garlands. Various groups, including KSA and KSYC, participated in the protest. The demonstrators inflicted harm on themselves by striking their faces with the garlands.
Protesters have stated that this demonstration is being held to raise awareness among the Karbi community about the illegal encroachments on PGR-VGR land. They expressed their anger, claiming that the Karbi people are not safe in their own homes. Additionally, the protesters vowed to continue their protest activities until the illegal evictions on PGR-VGR land cease.
