An electronics shop in the heart of Jakhalabandha in Kaliabor, Assam, was completely gutted by fire on Saturday, August 29, 2026, destroying goods estimated at around Rs 10 lakh. The shop, owned by businessman Sandeep Goswami, suffered extensive damage as the blaze consumed mobile phones and other electronic inventory stored inside.<\/span><\/p>\n Several mobile handsets and assorted electronic items were ruined, leaving the premises fully gutted.
