The celebration began with Mr. Manoj Saikia, Chairman of ALPCO, flagging off a bike rally laden with colorful flags and promotional posters advocating for increased chicken and egg consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks presented by Dr. Purnananda Konwar, GM of ALPCO. This event was made possible through collaboration with the Poultry Development Forum (PDF), Assam Livestock and Poultry Cooperative (ALPCO), and the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, demonstrating a united front in promoting poultry consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n Through the celebration of National Chicken Day, organizers sought to counter prevalent myths surrounding chicken and egg consumption, reinforcing their nutritional value and health benefits. AAVPI President Dr. LN Saikia and Secretary Dr. Chambal Konch briefed media representatives on the program’s objectives, emphasizing the importance of these poultry products in fulfilling dietary protein needs and their other health advantages.<\/span><\/p>\n To further amplify their message, leaflets were distributed in local newspapers, reaching the public and raising awareness about the nutritional benefits of chicken and eggs.
