I<\/span>n Tezpur, police encountered<\/a> a miscreant attempting to molest a young woman. The accused, Miraj Ali, was injured by police gunfire. Miraj Ali had attempted to rape the young woman. During a night operation involving Miraj, he tried to escape. He attempted to snatch the police’s pistol and flee, prompting the police to open fire. Miraj, who was shot in the right leg, has been admitted to TMCH. Another accused individual was apprehended by the public and handed over to the police.<\/span><\/p>\n An unruly young man touched a young woman who was out for an evening walk. At the time of the incident, two accused individuals were approaching on a bicycle. Both accused are workers by profession. After the incident, one of the accused was arrested. Both of them are from Jorhat in Tezpur.<\/span><\/p>\n The victimized young woman filed a complaint at Mahabhairav Police Station. Following this incident, the situation became tense. Representatives from various groups and organizations gathered at the police station.
