However, the group did not agree with this argument and decided to march from Birla in Diphu to the District Commissioner’s office. Consequently, from early morning, the police in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong were on high alert. The leader of the group, John Ingti Kathar, alleged that the administration obstructed their supporters from coming to Diphu from places like West Karbi Anglong, Dokmoka, Bokajan, Howraghat, and Borlangphar.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Despite facing opposition from the BJP, a large contingent of supporters, along with a substantial police force, marched to the District Commissioner’s office. The group submitted a memorandum through the District Commissioner, demanding the creation of an autonomous state comprising three hill districts, amendments to the draft of the 125th Amendment of the Indian Constitution, and the cessation of evictions of non-tribal residents in PGR\/VGR areas.
