A<\/span>lmost everyone knows the name of IAS officer Smita Sabharwal. She is the youngest IAS officer in India. At the age of just 23, Smita Sabharwal achieved a feat that many can only dream of. But, do you know the story behind the extraordinary success of this renowned Indian administrative officer? Smita Sabharwal’s academic journey is quite inspiring. Smita was born into a Bengali family in Darjeeling, West Bengal. Her father is Colonel Pranab Das and her mother is Purabi Das. Smita began her primary education in Hyderabad, where she attended St. Ann’s High School in Secunderabad.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Smita’s journey to success began early on. In her twelfth grade Higher Secondary Examination, her outstanding marks caught the attention of people all over India. Her exceptional performance garnered nationwide recognition. Recently, her Higher Secondary results went viral on social media. It shows that in the 1995 CISCE Indian School Certificate Examination, Smita scored 94 out of 100 in both English and Hindi. In Economics, she scored 90 out of 100.<\/p>\n

Notably, Smita faced an initial setback in her first attempt at the Civil Service Examination. Despite this, her unwavering determination led her towards success. In her second attempt, she not only passed the UPSC exam but also secured an all-India fourth rank. Achieving this feat at the age of just 22 made her one of the youngest IAS officers in India. Additionally, she became the first female IAS officer to be appointed in the Chief Minister’s office of Telangana.<\/p>\n
